Fees and Payment

I am an out-of-network provider. This means that I do not accept insurance directly. The payment for the full fee of your session is due upfront at each appointment. If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance company I can provide you with a “superbill”, which is a document that shows a list of all the services you received, the fees paid, and a diagnostic code. You then can provide that superbill to your insurance company, and your insurance company will then later reimburse you for the full or partial cost of therapy.

I strongly recommend contacting your insurance company to inquire about your out of network benefits prior to attending your initial session so that you can accurately anticipate your reimbursement rates, if any. Specifically, you can ask about your coverage for the following individual therapeutic services:

90791 Psychiatric Diagnostic Assessment, 60min | $220
90834 Psychotherapy, 45 minutes | $165
90832 Psychotherapy, 30 minutes | $120

Therapy Processes

Free 15-Minute Phone Consultation:
Before your first session, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. This allows us to discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and determine if we are a good fit for each other.

Getting on Board:
Once we both decided to work together, you will need to complete some paperwork via the Session’s Health Secure Client Portal. In the following sessions, I’ll keep learning about your early life, your relationships with family, friends, and significant others, and your daily routine. Understanding these aspects helps me get a complete picture of who you are.

Initial Session (60 Minutes):
Once we've reviewed the necessary policies and paperwork, my favorite part begins – getting to know you! This part of the session is your opportunity to share your story. Our first session together will be a bit longer, allowing us to cover important ethical and legal information such as informed consent, practice policies, and privacy policies. You’ll receive access to all relevant paperwork prior to your first appointment, but I’ll take the time to highlight the key points and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Ongoing Support:
The subsequent sessions will be 45-minutes, and it is encouraged to meet on a weekly basis initially. Regular weekly sessions help establish a strong therapeutic relationship, allow for continuous momentum, and provide consistent support. As we make progress and you begin to feel more confident, we can consider tapering down to bi-weekly sessions, depending on your needs and goals. Throughout your therapy, I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. I encourage open communication about the therapy process, as your feedback is invaluable in tailoring our sessions to best support your progress.

Termination
Termination is a collaborative process that involves reviewing your progress, consolidating gains, and discussing strategies to maintain your well-being independently. Should you need additional support in the future, you are always welcome to return. We will discuss termination when you feel ready, when you have met your therapeutic goals, or when therapy no longer feels necessary.
